Lexington, SC

What a weekend!! This was one for the books!

We left Florida Friday afternoon around 3:30. Not the best choice of time since we hit a ton of traffic in Jacksonville and took us almost two hours to get out of. Once we finally got out of the traffic we had smooth sailing. We all were on the verge of hunger so we started looking for places to eat along the way. Lisa found a restaurant with great reviews and a menu where everyone could find something they liked.

Well we pulled in and it was attached to a hotel and not many cars in the parking lot. That should have been our first sign. We were all so hungry and weren't sure where our next stop could be. We sat down, ordered and ate. And we ate fast just to get out of there. The place has a cafeteria setting and the food well the food wasn't all that great. We thought maybe the desert would be good. The boys got sundaes which looked good and tasted good per their opinions and we got peach cobbler. Well the cobbler was like a can of peaches put on a plate with some dough over it with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. We couldn't get out of their fast enough.

We made it to the hotel, unloaded the truck and we hit the bed right away.

Race day! We woke up, got ready and headed down to the hotel for the continental breakfast. We fueled up on a healthy breakfast and made our way to the track!

We registered and waited for motos to be posted. Bransen was in moto number 25 and up against the number three rider in the Gold Cup series. I knew he had some competition but I knew he was capable of doing it. I walked up with him in staging and stayed with him until race time. As the gate came down he went roaring. He was on fire and he knew what he wanted. He won the moto transferring right into the main.

Main time. He again knew what he needed to do and he wanted that WIN! He took the gate, came out strong but the other rider passed him in the first turn. I thought at the point it was done. Bransen wouldn't be able to pass him or want to. But he passed him right back in the second turn and took the lead all the way to the finish line. The other rider gave him a run because it was a close finish!

We left South Carolina a winner. Bryce came home with a second place which is his best finish since becoming an expert and Cooper finished first in all three of his races!

Way to go boys!

And the next morning when I got home Ben was so excited we were back. I made the boys fresh smoothies and snapped these pictures. Ben's face changes were too cute not to share!

And following the day when we went to unload the truck and get Bransen's bike out he took it upon himself to clean it before we hung it back up. This weekends win was a game changer!
