Just the Two of Us

There's never a weekend when it's just the two of us. There's never really a day when it's just the two of us. This whole past weekend it was just the two of us and we soaked it all in.

We had early morning cuddle sessions watching cartoons, lunches together, outside bike rides and scootering and good night stories. We sat back and relaxed, plays toys and enjoyed it just being the two of us for the weekend.

We had fun, we laughed and we bonded more than I thought we could. I realized this weekend that he needs more time with just me sometimes and that's okay. We all deserve a little one on one, right?

Love you forever now

 I just met you
It seems like yesterday
You opened up your eyes
And I recognized your face
You know that you're the one that we've been waiting for
We're gonna keep you safe
First time I held you in my arms
I knew I'd love you all the way
I tuck you in at night
Another day has passed
Every week goes by a little faster than the last
It wasn't so long ago
We walked together and you held my hand
And now you're getting too big to want to
But I hope you'll always understand
That I'm always gonna lift you up
And I'm never gonna let you down
No matter what you do
I'm forever proud of you
I'll love you forever now
Through your ears I hear it
Through your eyes I see
A world full of magic
Full of possibilities
You know as well as anybody how tough this life can be
But you've got so much strength inside you
A strength I pray you'll never need
And I'm always gonna lift you up
And I'm never gonna let you down
Time flies by
I hope you realize that I
I'll love you forever now
I'm always gonna be right here
Always gonna cheer you up
I'm always gonna have your back
You're never gonna be alone
And I'm always gonna lift you up
No, I'm never gonna let you down
No matter what you do
I'm forever proud of you
I'll love you forever now

I'll love you forever now

Sunday with the Fab Five

A Sunday together is a Sunday well spent.

We started the day on a three mile run/scooter ride. The boys all enjoy hopping on their scooters and running with me. It gets us all out of the house and moving together.

Then we ventured off to the beach for a few hours. Got some waves in and some sun.

And the we finished off the night at the Bordis' for some waterslide fun and a cookout!

End of Summer Weekend

What a weekend with lots of fun.

The weekend started with a boys sleepover of four additional boys. They rode bikes, played games, ate pizza, drank soda and ate lots of candy and cookies! I heard so much laughter coming from them all and it couldn't have gone any better. These boys have been friends since the oldest ones have been in VPK and the little brothers have now become friends. And my friend Katie had twins two years ago so now the littlest brothers are now friends!

Saturday when all the boys left we ended up heading to the beach and Bryce joined us. We were going to meet some friends but the weather started to get nasty so we ventured off to my parents for some swimming...in the rain! It ended up clearing up so we decided to try the beach again and was able to hang out with Briana, Ethan and Maddie for a while before their looked to be more rain coming in.

And Sunday we went skating and skated our way into the new school with Crystal and T! I even skated. I was shocked to see how much better the boys have gotten on their skates to since the last time I saw them skate. The all played in the games and races.

And as the night grew closer we got our clothes, backpacks and everything laid out to begin the school year.

Gold Cup Qualifier Number Three

We woke up, the sun was shining, packed up the car and headed to the track for the Gold Cup Qualifier.

First up was Ben up against a group on six two year olds all racing to the finish line. Our little guy all smiles raced his little feet so fast and ended up with the number two spot!

And then their was Bransen's race. It was a tough day that didn't go as planned. First moto he came unclipped. Peddled his hardest to get back in the front but did a great job of keeping up with the pack with the setback.

We only had moto number two left. He showed up, shot out of that gate, was a bike or two lengths ahead of the second place all the way into the third turn. There I was at the finish line waiting for him to be the first to turn that corner and see the finish. And he wasn't there. He gave up. His feet were tired.

I'm not sure what happened but I know it was a hell of a race. Maybe it was the heat, the running around between motos (lesson learned) being tired from a busy weekend. We learned lessons, we cried and we're bringing it all to the track for the Championship!
