Evening Ice Cream

Sometimes I wonder if I blog too much and if I should really blog about all the small things.

But don't all the small things in life add up to be such wonderful memories!

After dinner ice-cream with these boys!

Lexington, SC

What a weekend!! This was one for the books!

We left Florida Friday afternoon around 3:30. Not the best choice of time since we hit a ton of traffic in Jacksonville and took us almost two hours to get out of. Once we finally got out of the traffic we had smooth sailing. We all were on the verge of hunger so we started looking for places to eat along the way. Lisa found a restaurant with great reviews and a menu where everyone could find something they liked.

Well we pulled in and it was attached to a hotel and not many cars in the parking lot. That should have been our first sign. We were all so hungry and weren't sure where our next stop could be. We sat down, ordered and ate. And we ate fast just to get out of there. The place has a cafeteria setting and the food well the food wasn't all that great. We thought maybe the desert would be good. The boys got sundaes which looked good and tasted good per their opinions and we got peach cobbler. Well the cobbler was like a can of peaches put on a plate with some dough over it with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. We couldn't get out of their fast enough.

We made it to the hotel, unloaded the truck and we hit the bed right away.

Race day! We woke up, got ready and headed down to the hotel for the continental breakfast. We fueled up on a healthy breakfast and made our way to the track!

We registered and waited for motos to be posted. Bransen was in moto number 25 and up against the number three rider in the Gold Cup series. I knew he had some competition but I knew he was capable of doing it. I walked up with him in staging and stayed with him until race time. As the gate came down he went roaring. He was on fire and he knew what he wanted. He won the moto transferring right into the main.

Main time. He again knew what he needed to do and he wanted that WIN! He took the gate, came out strong but the other rider passed him in the first turn. I thought at the point it was done. Bransen wouldn't be able to pass him or want to. But he passed him right back in the second turn and took the lead all the way to the finish line. The other rider gave him a run because it was a close finish!

We left South Carolina a winner. Bryce came home with a second place which is his best finish since becoming an expert and Cooper finished first in all three of his races!

Way to go boys!

And the next morning when I got home Ben was so excited we were back. I made the boys fresh smoothies and snapped these pictures. Ben's face changes were too cute not to share!

And following the day when we went to unload the truck and get Bransen's bike out he took it upon himself to clean it before we hung it back up. This weekends win was a game changer!

Mid Week Beach Trip

Nothing like an unexpected mid week trip to the beach!

Grandma Me ended up in the hospital for a few days which resulted in me staying home with the boys and getting to play and none other than the beach did they decide they wanted to go!

We enjoyed the sun and surf for a couple of hours.

We also ventured to the beach Sunday. Aiden even caught some waves. But unfortunately a few swimmers down from us informed us that they saw about a seven foot shark close to shore and that ended our beach afternoon!

Ravine Gardens

We packed a lunch, loaded up the boys and Baillee and we took a ride over to our favorite state park, Ravine Gardens. We ate lunch under the covered picnic area and then took a walk around the 1.8mile look. We ventured down into the gardens a little bit but it was hard with the jogging stroller and for some reason the trails were overly grown. May be the fact that not many people choose to walk to gardens during the hottest month of the year.

On our way back we stopped and took a stroller under the Saint Johns River and caught a few people fishing, saw some grabs, and snapped a great picture of the crew!

High Springs - GC Qualifier

High Springs, Gold Cup Qualifer Number One, Hottest Sunday Outside.

It was beyond hot. No shade and just drenching in sweat, but it was all worth it.

Ben raced in the striders. Total Points. Came in with a second place finish. Look at the smile on Ben's face!

Bransen raced amazing in both motos transferring to the main. He was running in fourth place all the way into the last turn and back stretch when a rider came over into his lane and he crashed on the turn. He got right back up but unfortunately not quick enough. He finished and that's all that matters!

It was a great day of racing with our Fox Hunt family and Ben got his own Fox Hunt Jersey.

And take a look at the picture at the end. That's one Mom who loves to cheer on her boys!

Onto the next Gold Cup Qualifier!

Bye Bye Soon Diapers

Ben is making his way into the world of no diapers! And this momma is happy! He's been doing so great. We started off with just having him around the house naked and he would go into the bathroom do his business when he needed to, flush the toilet and wash his hands!

But days in the car are a little tough. His new thing is "I have to use the bathroom!" and keeps telling you until you stop and let him out. We've been making many side of the road stops!

Each day we are getting a little closer to no more diapers. He's a very determined little guy!

Ginnie Springs

Early Saturday morning Bransen and I headed over to Ginnie Springs with Lisa and Bryce. We made sure to leave bright and early so that we were able to get to the park before it got busy. We arrived just in time .We parked, got out tubes and walked down the to beginning entrance of the river. This was about a fifteen minute walk. We got all of our tubes tied together so we didn't get lost from eachother got the cooler in the blow up boat and made our first trip down the river. Peacefully!

It lasted for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Once we got out we walked the fifteen minute trip back to the half way point which was our car. The boys swam fora few minutes while we made sandwiches for lunch. Shortly after we ventured off for two more rounds of drifting down the river.

The boys had a great time, floating, swimming and laughing ALOT! So did Lisa and I. We spent the majority of the day and the park and then headed to the track before heading to the hotel room to get ready for the Gold Cup Qualifier in the morning!

Worlds Send Off Party

Fox Hunt racing has two of our own members traveling to Belgium to participate in the Worlds! This race is such an honor to be race for. Kayla and Michael qualified for the Worlds and have the honor of representing the USA. We are so proud of their accomplishment and are excited to watch them race.

The Golden's were nice enough to host a send off party to celebrate their accomplishment. The kids all got to swim, eat and divulge in some cake!

It was a nice send off and it was more nice to have our team together off the track spending time together!

And after today I'm pretty sure we have spent four straight days in our bathing suits!
