He took his first lap at Daytona BMX and  this night he took the winning lap right into the expert class! Hard work, perseverance and the love of the bike has brought him here!!

Ben's First Win

 Sometimes Ben wants to race other days he could care less and he's been struggling with liking the gate!

This Saturday was different. He raced all three motos because it was total points. All three motos he took first place! Landing him his first ever WIN! He even won rolling the gate. I was announcing and Jake was literally pulling back into the track when he crossed the finish line and I don't think he realized what had happened when he won!

We are so proud of him!

Our Road to Gold Cup

What a race weekend! I don't even know where to start! I'm not sure what came over Bransen but he had THE BEST weekend of racing he's ever had! With three wins now away from expert, he brought home a local win at Cape Coral BMX followed by a Gold Cup qualifier winner at Charlottte BMX on Sunday. We are so proud of him and his hard work. He rode his heart off, made awesome moves and came off the track exhausted. He never gave up, never quit pedaling and had his eye on the prize, the win!!!

Two weeks later we headed to Dothan, AL for the Gold Cup Championship along with one more qualifier. We showed up Friday and took home the win for another qualifier. Going into Saturday we were two wins away from expert and so close to bringing home that number one Gold Cup Plate.

Saturday racing was a little tougher and we ended with a second place finish which was still awesome and we will neck and neck in first place with another rider.

Sunday came and it brought rain. Bransen has never really raced in the rain so we knew this was going to be tough. The main came and so did the nerves and we finished that race with a fourth place finish. There were tears from Bransen but we were all so proud of him.

He came for this championship with such determination than ever. He trained, he raced hard and he earned the Gold Cup Two Plate for the year. He earned it!! And we couldn't be more proud of him!

Unity Day

 Today the boys wore orange for Unity Day at school. Wearing orange shows that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

Red, White and Blue Day!

 The boys celebrated Constitution Day at school and represented it by wearing their red, white and blue!

 

Back to School

 The 2020-2021 school year finally began! After pushing it back two weeks from the start of the original date due to the pandemic the boys went back to school! Meet the teachers were a little different this year with them being virtual, wearing masks is required and this year is going to bring on a whole different meaning of the new normal!

And to kick off the school year the boys and I got up early, went to grab some donuts and headed to the beach to the watch the sunrise. It was the perfect way to start the day for a new adventure and to put the last couple months in the rear view and look forward to the days ahead!

Final day of Summer

 The summer has come to an end and we made sure that we enjoyed the last day. This has been an extended summer that we never thought was going to end. We enjoyed so much fun times together, hot weather and creating so many memories!!

We ended the summer break getting out of the heat and heading to the ice rink for some in door skating, followed by the ice cream truck swinging by the neighborhood and one last get together for us mom's at Tracy's to celebrate us moms making it through this pandemic!!
